Credential types and role templates
Build the credential type catalog and group types into role templates that match how you staff.
Credential Types
The catalog defines every license, certification, or training record your company tracks. Go to Requirements → Credential Types to manage it.
- 1Open Requirements and select Credential Types.
- 2Add a type using the name your team already uses in conversation.
- 3Repeat for each distinct credential you verify.
- Keep one entry per distinct thing you verify. Splitting a single credential into variants makes matching harder.
- Build the catalog before entering credentials in bulk, so records map to a type rather than Custom / Other.
The Requirements page also surfaces unmapped credentials — records entered as Custom / Other that may belong to a catalog type.
Role Templates
A role template bundles credential types into a named role. Assigning the role to an employee applies every credential type it contains.
- 1Open Requirements and select Role Templates.
- 2Create a role that mirrors how you actually staff, such as Field Technician or Site Supervisor.
- 3Attach the credential types that role must hold.
- 4Assign the role to employees from their profiles.
