Understanding compliance status
How credential status, employee compliance status, and requirement status differ, and when each one is used.
ComplyNestly uses three related but separate status concepts. Confusing them is the most common source of surprise.
Credential status
Derived from one credential's expiration date, evaluated fresh on every read.
- Current — expires more than thirty days from today.
- Expiring soon — expires within the next thirty days.
- Expired — the expiration date has passed.
- No expiration — no expiration date recorded; never treated as a risk.
Employee compliance status
A roll-up across the credentials an employee actually holds, used by the Employees list filter.
- Current
- Expiring Soon
- Attention Needed
- No Credentials
Requirement status
A comparison of what the employee holds against their effective requirements.
- Ready — every required credential type is covered and current.
- Missing Required — at least one required credential type has no matching credential.
- Expiring Required — a required credential is within thirty days of expiring.
- Expired Required — a required credential has passed its expiration date.
- No Requirements — no role template or direct requirement applies to this employee.
