Expiration reminders
When reminder emails are sent, who receives them, and the rules that suppress or skip them.
ComplyNestly sends automatic email reminders as credentials approach expiration, so nothing depends on someone remembering to check.
The milestones
Reminders are sent at fixed points relative to the expiration date:
- 90 days before
- 60 days before
- 30 days before
- 14 days before
- 7 days before
- The expiration day itself
- One follow-up after expiration
After the single post-expiration follow-up, reminders stop. There is no recurring weekly escalation.
Who receives them
Reminders go to owners and admins. Managers do not receive reminder emails; they work from the Action Center instead.
Suppression
When a submission for a credential is genuinely awaiting review, the ordinary reminder for that credential is suppressed. The pending review item is the more specific signal, and chasing someone who already acted is noise.
A rejected submission does not suppress reminders, because the credential is still unresolved.
Catch-up behavior
At most one reminder is sent per credential per run. If several milestones passed while the job was unavailable, only the most urgent one is sent — never a burst.
Testing delivery
The owner can trigger a manual test run from Settings → Reminder emails. Other roles see a note explaining that only the owner can do this.
