Renewals

Renewals overview

The renewal lifecycle, the tabs on the Renewals page, and what each status means.

A renewal request asks an employee to supply updated details for a credential, then routes what they submit to a manager for a decision. Renewals are available on Pro and Business plans.

The lifecycle

  1. 1A manager or Renewal Autopilot creates a renewal request for a specific credential.
  2. 2The employee receives a secure link and submits updated details, with a document if upload is allowed.
  3. 3The request lands in Pending review.
  4. 4A manager approves it, writing the new details onto the credential, or rejects it with a reason.

Tabs on the Renewals page

  • Pending review — the employee has submitted and a decision is needed. This is the working queue.
  • Awaiting employee — the request was sent and nothing has come back yet.
  • Approved — reviewed and written to the credential record.
  • Rejected — returned to the employee to correct and resubmit.
  • Expired / Revoked — the link lapsed or was revoked before submission.

The Renewals item in the sidebar carries a badge showing how many requests are waiting on your review.

A rejected request does not mean the credential is invalid. It means the submission needs correcting.
