Employee Portal

Employee Portal overview

What the portal lets employees do, what it deliberately does not let them do, and how to turn it on.

The Employee Portal lets employees submit their own credential documents through a secure link. They never need a ComplyNestly account or a password.

What employees can do

  • Open a secure link with no login.
  • Enter updated credential details.
  • Attach a document, if document upload is enabled for your company.
  • Submit for manager review.

What employees cannot do

  • See other employees.
  • See company-wide compliance data, reports, or the matrix.
  • Approve anything, including their own submission.
  • Change requirements, roles, or settings.

Turning it on

  1. 1Go to Settings → Employee Portal. Owners and admins have access.
  2. 2Turn on Enable the employee portal.
  3. 3Decide whether to Allow employees to upload documents (not just enter details).
  4. 4Decide whether to Email employees when their submission is approved or rejected.
  5. 5Save, then generate a portal link from an employee's profile.

If the portal is turned off, the portal card on an employee's profile explains that self-service is disabled for your company.
