Renewal Autopilot overview
What Autopilot does on your behalf, what it will never do, and when to turn it on.
Renewal Autopilot watches your required credentials and creates a renewal task whenever one is missing, expiring, or expired — so chasing renewals stops depending on someone remembering.
What it does
- Creates a renewal task for each required credential that is missing, expiring, or expired.
- Optionally emails the employee a secure renewal link, if you enable that setting.
- Surfaces the resulting work in the Action Center and on the Renewals page.
What it never does
- It never approves a credential.
- It never edits credential details on its own.
- It never acts on credentials that no requirement covers.
When to enable it
Turn Autopilot on once your credential type catalog and role templates are accurate. Enabling it before requirements are correct generates tasks for the wrong things and trains people to ignore them.
Renewal Autopilot is configured under Settings → Employee Portal and requires a paid plan.
