Portal and renewal emails
Every email ComplyNestly can send to an employee, and what controls each one.
Emails to employees
- Portal link — sent when you choose to email a generated portal link from the employee's profile.
- Secure renewal link — sent when you send a renewal request, or automatically by Autopilot if that setting is on.
- Submission outcome — sent when Email employees when their submission is approved or rejected is enabled.
Emails to your team
- Team invitations — sent when you invite a colleague from Team.
- Expiration reminders — sent to owners and admins at fixed milestones on a paid plan.
What controls them
- An email address on file for the employee. Without one, no employee email can be sent and ComplyNestly says so.
- Enable the employee portal, which must be on for portal and renewal links.
- Email employees when their submission is approved or rejected, which controls outcome notifications.
- Automatically email the employee a secure renewal link, which controls whether Autopilot sends links itself.
If an email did not arrive
- 1Confirm the employee has an email address on file.
- 2Confirm the relevant setting is enabled in Settings → Employee Portal.
- 3Ask the recipient to check spam and quarantine folders.
- 4Regenerate the link and send again, or share it directly.
Regenerating a link invalidates the previous one, so the recipient should use the newest message.
