Reading statuses and filters
What each cell status means and how to narrow the matrix to the population you care about.
Cell statuses
- Current — the employee holds a valid credential of this type, expiring more than thirty days out.
- Expiring soon — held and valid, but expiring within thirty days.
- Expired — held, but the expiration date has passed.
- Missing — this type is required for the employee, and no matching credential exists.
- Not required — this type does not apply to this employee.
Filters
Narrow the grid by location, credential type, and status before reading it. A filtered matrix is far easier to act on than a full one.
- Filter to one credential type when you are chasing a single certification across the company.
- Filter to one location when you are working a specific site.
- Filter to missing or expired when you want a remediation list rather than a coverage picture.
Reading the summary
The summary counts required assignments across the current view, not credentials. Filtering changes the denominator, so compare like-for-like views when tracking progress over time.
